Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy explains how Recognage Technologies Limited expects customers, users, visitors, partners, and other parties to use Recognage websites, platforms, products, services, APIs, integrations, documentation, and related systems.
This Policy forms part of the Recognage Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between this Policy and a written agreement signed by Recognage, the signed agreement controls to the extent of that conflict.
1. Purpose
Recognage builds intelligent systems for organizations that need clarity, accountability, security, and structured operating intelligence.
To protect Recognage, our customers, users, infrastructure, data, and the public, you must use Recognage responsibly and lawfully.
2. General Rule
You must not use Recognage in a way that:
- violates law;
- harms people, organizations, systems, or data;
- compromises security;
- infringes rights;
- abuses the platform;
- disrupts service availability;
- misuses AI or automation;
- creates legal, operational, reputational, or security risk for Recognage or others.
3. Prohibited Uses
You must not use Recognage to:
- conduct unlawful activity;
- violate privacy, data protection, intellectual property, or contractual rights;
- upload, transmit, or store malicious code, malware, spyware, ransomware, viruses, or harmful scripts;
- attempt unauthorized access to Recognage systems, customer workspaces, accounts, devices, infrastructure, or third-party systems;
- interfere with service availability, performance, integrity, or security;
- bypass usage limits, access controls, authentication, rate limits, billing restrictions, or security measures;
- scrape, crawl, or extract data from Recognage except as permitted by written agreement;
- reverse engineer, copy, resell, sublicense, or misuse Recognage technology;
- impersonate another person, organization, or authority;
- misrepresent your identity, authority, affiliation, or purpose;
- upload data you are not authorized to process;
- use Recognage to support fraud, deception, phishing, spam, harassment, exploitation, or abuse;
- use Recognage to generate, store, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, discriminatory, defamatory, or abusive;
- use Recognage in a way that could expose sensitive information without lawful basis or authorization.
4. Data and Content Responsibilities
You are responsible for the data and content you submit, upload, connect, process, or generate through Recognage.
You must ensure that:
- you have the right to use and submit the data;
- personal data is collected and processed lawfully;
- required notices and consents have been provided where needed;
- confidential information is handled appropriately;
- access permissions are configured correctly;
- users in your organization follow applicable policies and laws.
Recognage may restrict, remove, or block content if we reasonably believe it violates this Policy, the Terms of Service, law, or third-party rights.
5. AI and Automation Use
Recognage may include AI, automation, extraction, classification, analysis, reasoning, and intelligence features.
You must not use these features to:
- intentionally generate false, misleading, harmful, or unlawful outputs;
- make automated decisions that legally or significantly affect individuals without appropriate human review and lawful basis;
- evade compliance obligations;
- conceal accountability;
- process sensitive or restricted data without authorization;
- use outputs as professional, legal, financial, medical, security, or operational advice without appropriate review.
Recognage is designed to support human judgment, not replace it.
6. Security Testing
You must not conduct penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, load testing, stress testing, scraping, automated probing, or security research against Recognage systems without written authorization from Recognage.
If you discover a security issue, report it responsibly to:
Do not publicly disclose vulnerabilities or exploit them.
7. High-Risk Use
Unless expressly agreed in writing, Recognage must not be used as the sole system for:
- emergency response;
- life-safety decisions;
- medical diagnosis or treatment;
- legal determinations;
- credit, employment, or eligibility decisions;
- critical infrastructure control;
- any activity where failure could cause serious harm.
Recognage may support organizational reasoning and governance, but customers remain responsible for final decisions and actions.
8. Platform Integrity
You must not:
- overload, disrupt, or degrade Recognage services;
- create excessive automated requests;
- abuse integrations, APIs, or background jobs;
- interfere with monitoring, logging, or audit trails;
- attempt to remove or alter system-generated records unlawfully;
- manipulate data lineage, evidence, or accountability records.
9. Enforcement
If we believe this Policy has been violated, we may take action, including:
- warning the customer or user;
- restricting access;
- suspending accounts or workspaces;
- removing content;
- disabling integrations;
- blocking activity;
- terminating services;
- reporting unlawful activity where required;
- preserving evidence where necessary.
We will try to act proportionately, but we may take immediate action where there is security, legal, operational, or reputational risk.

11. Changes
Recognage may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time. Continued use of Recognage after changes become effective means you accept the updated Policy.
